How Do You Use Frozen Leeks?

If you freeze your leeks in thin ribbons, you don’t need to defrost them. They’ll thaw and then cook from frozen in a pan. You can either boil them or saute them in plenty of butter.

Are frozen leeks as good as fresh?

Should you thaw frozen vegetables before roasting?

Frozen vegetables do not need to be defrosted before roasting them in the oven. As long as you add the vegetables to a hot baking sheet and cook them in a hot oven, there is no need to defrost! The only exception to this is frozen vegetables coated in a thicker layer of ice.
